fightingboston: (Okay you're an idiot)

Colleen had been on semi-retirement from a majority of the weird in her life. She honestly thought that after everything was said and done she could metaphorically hang up her sword and just focus on raising her boys. That was easier said than done of course. It wasn't end of the world stuff but small level things kept popping up on her radar that needed to get smacked down. Which was exactly why when she needed to move she went for this interesting property that went up on the market.

It was attached to this old church that had gone belly up a few years previously. She had plans to fix it up and maybe turn it into a community center. It would be something to do to keep her hands busy. Plus the house that had used to be part of the church itself had just been too tempting to overlook. It had room for so many books. She discovered that the priest who had worked here before everything went up had accidentally left some books behind.

They were interesting to her on a few levels. Unfortunately they had to go on the book case with the actual locks on it. Colleen didn't trust the boys around anything remotely supernatural yet. They're still a little young for that conversation. Hilariously however her friends don't seem to believe that five-year-olds are too young to learn how to use weapons even if they are just toys.

They have decided to hold a very unexpected house guest hostage on the couch at wooden sword point. That is clearly exactly how to help Mom out while she just blinks blearily at the scene unfolding in the living room.

"Did you... break into my library then pass out on the couch?" Sorry John but the very sleepy looking parent isn't ready to rescue you from her sons yet. She hasn't had coffee.
